"Half-Volley Punt
Overview. Most recommended for windy days. Mechanics are exactly the same as the "Full Volley Kick" with these exceptions... Getting Ready. Posture - slight lean backward... Performing the Skill. Kicking Leg - as the hands drop the ball, the kicking foot swings upward to kick the ball the moment the ball hits the ground... Posture - the player maintains a slight backward lean while kicking the ball... Follow-through. Reaction to the Kick - let the body's natural momentum carry the player forward... recover as quickly as possible to get back into the ready position."

Air Balls Between the Chest and the Head
Overview. Use the hands and fingers to catch these balls... Moving from the Ready Position. Feet - move the player between the ball and the goal... Shoulders - square to the ball... Feet - lined up directly under the corresponding shoulder... Hands - relaxed and in front of the chest... Palms - facing forward... Fingers - relaxed, pointing toward the ball... Head - firm... Eyes - watching the ball... Performing the Skill. Hands - move out to meet the ball... Thumbs - inches apart, facing one another... Elbows - flexed... Eyes - look through the hands at the ball... Fingertips - first body part to make contact with the ball... begin the catching action... Follow-through. Hands/Arms - come into the body to absorb the ball's movement... Forearms - secure the ball to the chest... Use normal Goalkeeper "Reactions to all Saves."
