HowToPlay.com's "Essential Baseball Mechanics"!!!
As an infielder throw is made to
get a runner out, the throwing side foot reaches to touch the front
corner of the base. After recognizing the ball path, the glove
side foot stretches the First Baseman toward the ball (a tip in
"Effective First Baseman Mechanics").
Either the Pitcher or the First
Baseman finish the 3-6-3 double play. Both players need to
talk to one another as the play develops to determine which player
takes the throw.
