"THE FAST BALL GRIP
Use the Fast Ball to develop all pitching mechanics.
Different grips making different speeds and movements are learned
after the Fast Ball is mastered. Grip - the fingers
are close together with the fingertips across two seams, four
seams or with the seams. The grip is in the center of the ball
with the ball placed at least one index finger away from the
palm of the hand ...Release - the wrist is
perpendicular to the ground and the palm faces the target
...Result - maximum velocity and force on a pitch with
reverse 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock spin."

"THE SHOULDERS
Sign - parallel with the rubber...Pivot - after the
pivot foot is in front of the rubber, the shoulders line up with
catcher's mitt. The shoulders begin to pivot before the stride
foot leaves the ground for the tuck... Tuck - the shoulder,
hips and legs make a natural and comfortable movement as if
"closing a gate." The shoulders remain lined up with the target....Thrust
- the shoulder turn accelerates as the stride foot lands. The
shoulders remain as close to level as possible... Release -
the shoulders rotate around the head following a path low and hard
toward the target... Follow-through - the throwing
shoulder finishes low with the shoulder blade facing the target."
